De iMod als telemetriemodule geeft enorme mogelijkheden tot registratie van en toegang tot gegevens, met behulp van de ingebouwde input/output interfaces en communicatiekanalen, zoals Ethernet of GPRS . Dankzij de flexibele programmering is protocollenbeheer mogelijk, door integratie van de toegang tot de apparaten en het bufferen van gedownloade gegevens door middel van verschillende protocollen en communicatiemethoden. De ingebouwde webserver maakt presentatie en controle mogelijk direct vanaf het apparaat via een webbrowser en bovendien maakt het NX Dynamics platform het creëren van modules voor beheer op WWW-niveau eenvoudiger. Basiseigenschappen hardware
Gebaseerd op het bewezen NPE Linux-hardware platform voor industriële computer. Geschikt voor continu gebruik in industriële omgeving. Efficiënte, energiebesparende processor met RISC-technologie. Rijke set aan I/O-interfaces: inclusief digitale en analoge input/output , RS232/RS485 seriële poorten, relaisuitgangen. Ingebouwde Ethernet (LAN) en GPRS (WAN)* communicatie. Ondersteunt de economische 1 Wire bus die voornamelijk wordt gebruikt voor het opnemen van temperatuursensoren. Er kunnen verschillende worden besteld (bijv. USB-poort), ook met logo van de besteller (OEM versies)
Basiseigenschappen software
Om de iMod te kunnen gebruiken, moet slechts de juiste configuratie worden gedefinieerd. De iMod SDK die gebaseerd is op Java-taal maakt het mogelijk om de ondersteuning van eigen protocollen toe te voegen. Mogelijkheid om eigen apparaten/sensoren 1-Wire bus en MBus te scannen (automatische configuratie). Ondersteuning van gebeurtenissen maakt effectieve communicatie en besparing van overdrachtskosten mogelijk. Dankzij het bufferen van gegevens worden deze direct beschikbaar voor, bijvoorbeeld, SCADA-systemen. Toepassing
