Monitoring of Vehicles
Many of our clients look for innovative solutions in vehicle monitoring projects recently. iMod as a compact fanless solution, equipped with an additional GPS module can be used for this type of application without any problems. The main advantage for using iMod in the vehicle monitoring systems is the possibility of connecting additional devices via the RS-232/485 serial ports. It can be both an external GPS module or any other device like e.g., electronic validating machines.
Another advantage of the iModa is the possibility of using the GPRS/EDGE wireless communication, which enables constant connection with a vehicle and can control all the processes that take place inside. A driver can receive important information from a logistics centre and send current data from the vehicle route via the iMod device.
This type of computer enables registering information, such as: number of people getting on and getting off, monitoring the vehicle route and possibility to check current position, travelling time, amount and type of tickets validated during the ride, engine operating parameters, irregularities in the operation of the vehicle.
Apart from the possibility to sent information about the working parameters of the whole system on a current basis, all the data registered during operation of the device can be saved both on an external FLASH disc and an SD card. The latter solution is especially convenient, because of the speed and simplicity of installation and the possibility to transfer data outside the device without any problems.

One of the most popular and the most effective forms of exploitation of renewable energy sources for power generation are hydropower plants. Hydropower plants can be divided according to the amount of generated electricity. The process automation system for electricity production in hydropower plants can be completely based on the iMod industrial computer. This type of a computer can be used both in the newly created hydropower plants and the ones which are being modernised.
The computer serves as both an automatic control system and a telemetric module collecting the transferred data. Such a solution enables a safe operation of the whole turbine set. The iMod device enables using the latest technical solutions gsm telemetry and allows remote control and monitoring (by radio or via the Internet) of the hydropower plant resources.
