being responsible taking care of senior citizens through Day Care Centre
Indore: being responsible, a social group of Indore has always been in front to serve the society, through different platforms and Day Care Centre is their latest offering, where senior citizens of Indore are exhibiting their wishes and talents.
“We had started our first Day Care Centre at 148 B Mahadev Totla Nagar, Ring road, Indore, last month only, and are overwhelmed to receive response and affection of our respected senior citizens. They are not only taking much interest in different activities of our centre, but also inspiring others to join us. The results are good and we are going to start another Day Care Centre in east Indore, by next month.” Said Atul Malikram, president being responsible.
Day Care Centre runs different activities, including, library, computers, internets, games and much more. Members of centre assemble here between 3.00 to 5 p.m. every day, and are busy in their likings. Most of the members are seen taking interest in learning computers, and they do not forget to take home work . “ I am delighted to be with my old friends and new faces every day here, where we are not only gaining new knowledge, but are also competent to show our hidden talents before new generation.” Said Mr. Singhai, retired Principal.
On every Saturday, a guest visits the centre and shares views with the members of centre. Shri Mahesh Sharma, noted Bhajan and Ghazal singer of the city visited the centre and discussed about the importence of music in our life. He also sung few old popular lyrics and Ghazals , including “ Yeh Daulat Bhee lelo” , “Sare Raah Kuchh bhi kaha naheen”.
Similarly, on one Saturday, Ms.Charusheela Maurya, the famous social worker of the city discussed at length with members of the centre and requested them to pour their maximum contributions for betterment of persons, living below poverty line.
Shri Ranjan Awasthy, Security System Expert discussed about the safety measures one has to take while at home, or out side. He insisted upon to take utmost care in our homes, right from kitchen to study room.
Day Care Centre is committed to take care of senior citizens of not only Indore city, but planning to start branches in the states so that the senior citizens may have more amenities for exhibition of their talents.
