Some people are really obsessed with eating organic, healthy or keeping diets. I can explain that, especially if they watch what they eat and yet the pounds refuse to budge. In this article, I will explain to you the reason. It's simple and after that, I hope that your diet will have another effect on your weight.
Even though some foods are dressed up to look like they are really good for you, the reality is much different. It may sound like a joke, but even the cleaning experts in Melbourne can prove you that. They've cleaned all kind of houses and many women are actually on a diet (according to the statistics 90 % of the women are watching what they are eating or they are on a diet). 1.The energy bars come in tiny packages and we all know that they come with vitamins and minerals. However, they are not a healthy choice, if that's what you are looking for. The most of them are high in saturated fat, but low in fibre. If you are on a diet, you should know the fact that an extra bar is an extra 200 to 300 calories each day. In each bar, there should have at least five grams of protein. If you can't find a bar with that much protein in it, I advise you to spread a thin layer of peanut butter or just enjoy a glass of low-fat milk.
2.Granola... Honestly? I hate that kind of cereal. According to the statistics, eating granola is the least healthy way to start the day with. That's because of the sugar and the low amount of fibres. A cup of granola add 500 calories, which (if you are on a diet) is 1/3 of the daily allowance for girls/women. When you choose cereal, it's recommended that you buy a package that has more fibres than sugar. If you don't want to remove the granola from your menu, you can simply add a half-cup of slices strawberries. That I would eat!
3.Smoothies, yammi! But with all these fruits, even I can't believe that this could be a bad thing. The fruit juice, main ingredient to the smoothie, adds calories, but it doesn't provide the necessary fibres that you can get when simply eating the fruit. In some smoothies, there is added frozen yoghurt to bump up the flavour. The problem of the smoothie is that it provides enough calories for a meal, but it doesn't really satisfy you like one. The smart option here is eating a low-fat yoghurt and a fruit instead of drinking a smoothie. Another way to still choose the smoothie, but eating healthy, is using a special recipe. I've heard of it, but never actually seen it.
4.Sport and vitamin drink. I'm sure that you've seen that coming, especially after seeing in the list smoothies and energy bars. The reason is the same – too much sugar. When you choose that kind of drinks, look for the sugar-free versions. Another smart idea for you, is to make your own flavoured water that will be much healthier than the bought one. Add sliced oranges, lemons or berries, whatever you want to.
5.When people buy fat-free food, they usually buy more, because it's fat-free after all. What's the problem? However, the right kind of fats is very important while being on a diet, because it seriously reduces the risk of heart diseases. My advice here is to choose a regular cookie, instead of 10 fat-free.
6.I'll have a salad, because it's healthy. You've all heard that phrase. However, don't forget that in some restaurants a salad can top out at 1,000 calories. The problem here is that many salads are packed with unhealthy add-ins such as bacon, cheese, creamy dressings, etc. Nothing can beat a bowl of healthy greens.
The better option is to cook on your own. Only that way, you will be able to know exactly what is in your food. And be careful with your oven! Don't forget to clean it on your own (and burn a few calories while doing it).
