Another distinct part of the water engines is that, the carburetors of the marine engine do not emit large amount of fuel flow in the air, unlike on the car carburetors. The materials used in marine engine are almost environmental friendly, than the car engines. Makers of Marine Engines use a special gasket to avoid the spilling of oil and fuel over the water.
 
Marine Engines uses two kinds of gas - gasoline and diesel. The diesel engine works efficiently with engines than the gasoline. Diesel engines use a smaller kind of combustion chamber compared to gasoline engines. It also burnt faster than the gasoline.

The cooling system for the marine engines is different from car engines. The marine engines use raw water to cool down the engine. It has what they called the closed raw water cooling system where the water is circulating around the engine to regulate the temperature of the motor.

• If your engine does not have Hull Identification Number, some manufacturers are indicating the name of the manufacturer at the side of the decal.
