Perhaps the biggest advantage of CBSE is that it is spread all across the country and thus the syllabus that is made by it is followed by all right from the lower kindergarten to the students of class X and XII. Thus, its wide presence ensures that the syllabus formed by it should be uniform keeping in mind all parts of the country. This is unlike state boards where the syllabus differs from one state to another.
The syllabus of CBSE is student oriented keeping in mind the needs and requirements of each generation and batch of students. There is no strict formula base upon which students are churned out year after year. This makes the syllabus flexible and it can be changed according to the needs of the hour.
Schools that follow the CBSE syllabus are better able to prepare their students for various competitive examinations. Syllabuses of medical entrance examinations, IIT JEE and other such competitive entrances are mostly in sync with CBSE; giving their students a better chance to succeed in such exams. Also, a student does not have to devote time separately for his school studies and his entrance exam preparations as the syllabus for both are similar and preparations for both can be done simultaneously.
CBSE schools focus on innovative teaching methodologies. Its paradigms are student centered which means that skills can be learned early in life when the student is still in school. This makes them more job oriented as professionals and provides them with equal opportunities for both studies and job related skills.
Finally, CBSE schools follow a grading system which helps weaker students to cope up with the class. It prevents classification on the basis of marks and does the much needed job of taking off the societal and peer pressure from the head of a child; thus letting him concentrate on his studies and disrupting any chances of promotion in unhealthy competition.
