Mineral Processing Technology with Less Pollution

For a decade or so, due to the mass production of high performance permanent magnetic material ND-Fe-b and the suitable price, magnetic separating, as a less pollution or no pollution mineral processing technology, makes great contribution to research and develop new magnetic separating equipment. During this period, lump ore dry permanent magnetic separator and wet type permanent-magnet cylindrical separator develops faster. Owing to the formation of the magnetic system has been changed from the ferrite to the composite magnetic system with partly rare earth neodymium, or adopts the magnetic system with the whole ND-Fe-b magnetic materials, the technical performance of magnetic separating equipment is improved continually. For example, the average magnetic induction of the roller surface of lump ore dry magnetic separator is raised from 180mT to over 240mT with composite magnetic system. And the magnetic induction of the roller surface of lump ore dry magnetic separator, which is overall composed of the ND-Fe-b magnetic material, can reach 400mT, the highest point can reach 500mT, and the magnetic interaction has larger effect. The magnetic induction of the roller surface of wet type permanent-magnet cylindrical separator is raised from 120mT or 170mT to 280mT with composite magnetic system, and the gross median can be over 200mT. What’s more, the applicable scope of magnetic separating equipment expands unceasingly. For example, the maximum processing strength of the lump ore dry permanent magnetic separator has been raised from 75mm to over 350mm. Therefore, with the rapid development of magnetic separating equipment, a group of high-level, high-efficiency, weak-magnetic field and adapting to the Chinese context magnetic separating equipment will be emerging constantly, and will be widely used in industrial production. The representative weak-magnetic field magnetic separating equipment will be introduced as follows.
