Fitness Harmony-The link between fitness equipment and exercise

When you invest your hard earned cash in fitness equipment you always hope that it will help to improve your fitness regime. However, most people soon realize that things are not working as they expected. It is therefore important that you take time to learn the ‘language’ of the machine you are using so that you engage in the same pace, stability, intensity and resistance. When your mind and body get in synch with the piece of fitness equipment you are using, you will avoid falling out with the machine due to lack of the requisite harmony.  

When things don’t work out as they should have, most people will get into a session of self condemnation. Remember that most of the time it may not be you who has a problem or that the machine requires repairs, readjustment or a replacement. Don’t immerse yourself into a round of endless questioning regarding why you are in the program in the first place, whether you really had any calories to burn or what your real motivation was. Don’t procrastinate believing that you are going to feel better tomorrow, next week or next month, the problem is just somewhere else.    

First things first; there are important things we need to establish first. The fitness equipment is a faithful servant and will be right there waiting for you without any retributions or conditions. Every time you visit the exercise room, the machine won’t give you cold stares or make any apologies; it will be waiting raring to go and all it may ask of you is some little respect in the manner you are going to handle it. Just ensure that it remains well maintained and on your side, put on the right frame of mind. Ensure you have the right attitude as you start and that you have refueled your body with optimum nutrition so that you restore used energy. 

Get down to business with a short warm up period so that your entire system begins to prepare your mind and muscles for exercise. Once you are on with warm up, the fitness equipment and your mind will begin to recoup in a clear language of finesse as the endorphins in your brain remind your body that you and the machine are on track. In a short while the fuss in your mind regarding the separation you have had with your machine will slowly dissipate as your system breaks into a series of rhythmic feelings of wellness. 

By now you have realized that your fitness equipment is a good bosom buddy who will give you more than it demands; use it any time you have to deal with feelings of stress, trouble starting and any sort of maladjustment. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive, the biggest or the most popular thin on the market. Just remind yourself every time you fall out that it is most likely your attitude that needs to be worked on and not necessarily the equipment. Let your mind lead the way and soon your body will be showing all the positive results.
