Micro-dermabrasion
This method is very much like dermabrasion but here the dermatologist uses some kind of spray, instead of brush. This spray contains minute crystals, which helps in removing the scars. For getting the desired results, several sittings are required.
Lasers
Laser therapies are becoming popular as they help in removing the scars in short span of time. The results are very accurate; the number of sessions depends on the type of scar and on the type of laser used.
Fillers
In this method, different types of acids like collagen, hyaluronic, etc. are used for treating scars. They do not offer permanent solutions, with time the skin starts to absorb these fillers. After every few months they are filled again through injections for keeping the scars invisible. The only advantage of this method is that it can be done in one day, without spending a lot of time.
Skin grafting
In this method, normal skin from any other part of the body is taken and used on the scarred area. It is mostly used in case of very bad scars; skin graft helps in providing permanent solutions. The only drawback is that it takes a lot of time to heal as surgery is done on particular area.
Retinoic acid
