Corruption- lets fight it and let’s hide it…

The whole word CORRUPTION stands as C-Cruel, O- Obscure (hidden), R-Rigid, R-Rich, U- Underneath, P-Pernicious (injurious) T- Treacherous, I- Insensitive, O- obnoxious (offensive), N- niggardly (greedy). The whole world today is dancing to the tune of corruption. In fact corruption the real cause stands for we- the common people, who are directly or indirectly somehow involved in it. This has somehow became a daily habit for us. Today, we the elders teach our children to learn short cuts to climb up the ladders and be the part of the on-going competition everywhere. We are the first source from where corruption begins. The soul from inside has become so greedy that today we are not happy what little we get. We have a crave to earn more and more, no matter what we do, no matter how we do, but we want what we desire-thus we imbibe corruption.

There is a very famous saying that “No body is perfect” but at a same time we have another saying “Nothing is impossible”. If today we control our greedy minds, then somehow we can control atleast a bit of corruption. There can be many examples given to this one word corruption and 2011 has actually made a history of the cases of corruption and corrupts. The year 2011 has brought forth many big scams infront of the commoner. The 2G spectrum scam, The common wealth scam, the adarsh housing scam and many more. But do we really know how many other such scams are still hidden? Do we really know how many other such scams are still hidden? Do we really know that whether all the guilty are really behind the bars? The big question lies here. Infact we are living in such a place where people such as Anna Hazzare, Dr. kiran Bedi fighting for such a nobel cause has to face such problems. Infact everything that seems so easy has actually turned to be most confusing and complex.

Corruption moves on a flow from the lower level to the upper level with interest added on each level. Recently there was a news that a peon was caught with some crores of rupees. A peon in Madhya Pradesh with Rs.12 crores and government has to think twice to grant aid to the needy. Here lies the question again how come a peon became so rich; it’s we who made him rich. We are ready to pay 500 rupees to get our work done easily and quickly and indirectly making a two way corruption process.

It’s high time that we knock at our heart and wipe out the short-cuts that we have saved in it. It is highly needed that we truly stand by the Anti-Corruption Movement and walk in a clean and long path. We really need to stand by all those who are fighting against it. Infact, we the Youth of India should step ahead to take the charge of Anti- Corruption Movement. It’s we the people, who can fight and hide corruption.Its we who can start from ourselves of not bribing others. It’s we who have the power to question those who are involved in it. As Article 19(1) says that we have the right to speech and expression similarly, 42^nd Amendment Act says –

v To realize and follow the essential ideals of secularism, democracy and non- violence

v To protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the nation.

v To safeguard public property

v To defend the country even at the cost of our life

v To avoid social evils

v To protect natural resources and etc,

which we as the citizen of India must follow from the deepest corner of our heart and prove ourselves a true and loyal Indian.
